In the above list of posts which it is proposed to form
into an Interpretation Department the salary given is in
each case the highest salary of the class in which the
post is placed. The actual expenditure will never be es
great as the estimated expenditure and in any case will
not approach it for several years. Thus an interpreter
requires to be 14 years in the First Class before he can receive the highest pay: 16 years peers in the Second and 6 in the Best third.
